Human Resources Director
The French subsidiary of a US global Communications Company, was confronted by the imminent departure within one week of their Human Resource Director due to personal reasons, and it was uncertain as to whether the person would return within the near future.
Due to the fast moving nature of the organisation, it was deemed critical to ensure management continuity in all aspects of HR procedures and people management.
At the request of the European Human Resource Director, NIM sourced a qualified Interim Human Resources Director who was in place within one and a half weeks.
As part of the assignment brief, the Interim HRD was able to ensure continuity and progress in all aspects of HR, including performance management, career development plans, recruitment, union dialogue and works council elections, ongoing employee case management and management of the training project/budget.
Country Manager
A UK publicly quoted Software Company had purchased a French subsidiary, which was subsequently merged with its existing local operations.
However, sometime subsequent to the departure of the ex-owner, it became apparent that the new organisation did not possess the expertise and management leadership skills necessary to transform the company’s performance. In addition a combination of critical commercial, administrative and logistics issues were severely affecting profitability and required urgent attention.
At very short notice, NIM sourced a Country Manager who not only had specific experience in a relevant industry sector, but in addition had also built a similar subsidiary operation for an Anglo-Saxon company in a related market.
After presenting a short to medium term objective plan to the UK management team, the Interim executive assumed day to day responsibility for operations, bringing stability and leadership to the situation and implementing agreed short term objectives aimed at regaining profitability within the financial period.
